[Inserts of the poem]
I feel the cold breeze of Autumn’s greet, air smells fresh, a slight taste of the sea, the boardwalk’s sound under my feet, tlek, tlek, tlek; ... ... ... ... I stop, give you space, gaze at your shape. You, you rest, on a plank just inches away. ... ... ... ... I look at you, trying to clear my mind, my mind’s eye to see what you’re here to say, “There is always a reason”, the wise one once said ... Peace moves through my body, vein to vein, through muscles and pain, I see peace, I sense peace, I’m just Be. _____________________ Toronto October 2017 |
